Dana was born and raised in California where she developed her customer service skills within the travel industry while working for Southwest Airlines. She later made the jump to small town living in Mammoth Lakes, CA where she transitioned into resort real estate and property management. She moved to Clarkdale, AZ to help her father who was in failing health. Having already cared for her mother while she was on hospice and valuing that time with her immensely, she had committed to be there for her father as well. Having the opportunity for a fresh start, she decided to pursue a career in nursing. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at Yavapai College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University. Her scholastic excellence allowed her to be hired directly out of school into the ICU at Verde Valley Medical Center where she worked as a RN and a charge RN for 7 years. In the ICU, she had the opportunity to care for many dying patients and their families. Dana cherished her time with this patient population. Dana’s caring heart and empathy coupled with the experiences of the ICU and her parents, has allowed for a natural transition to the field of care management.
